For 55 years, Nanaimo Youth Services Association (NYSA) has been a safe place that welcomes and supports vulnerable youth in Nanaimo. We focus on instilling independence, self-worth and a sense of agency in young people. At NYSA, young people learn how to navigate their future through stable housing and programs that build skills, create employment and teach wellness. What we do is important. What’s more important is how we do it: Because when youth don’t feel safe, nothing else matters.
